The International Journal of Sociology (RIS) aims to integrate the discipline that it primarily represents, sociology, into the intellectual debate of our time, but also political science, social policy, economics, anthropology and social and moral philosophy, paying special attention to the debate that is taking place in Spain and Latin America. Along with the publication of scientific works of an empirical, epistemological or theoretical nature, which is its main objective, the RIS also wishes to enter, as an organ of reflection and debate, into the philosophical-moral considerations of important issues that affect citizens. RIS accepts and publishes originals in Spanish or English. The International Journal of Sociology is indexed in Web of Science (Thomson-ISI) ‘Social Sciences Citation Index’ (SSCI) and ‘Journal Citation Reports’ (JCR), and SCOPUS.
